Buyer closing checklist
A printable guide to help you prepare for closing.
Photo identification: Bring a government-issued photo ID.
Alternative identification: If you do not have a driver’s license or passport, ask the closing team which identification and supporting documents to bring.
- Closing funds: Bring a cashier’s check for closing costs, unless you are wiring funds.
- Wire instructions: If wiring funds, confirm the instructions verbally with the title company rather than relying on email.
- Signing parties: Confirm who must attend or sign and whether any special arrangements are required.
- Closing Disclosure: Review and bring the Closing Disclosure provided by your lender at least three business days before closing.
- Appointment details: Confirm your closing appointment time and date. Confirm the location of the title office you will be closing in, Metairie, Mandeville or Chalmette.
